Hello there! The Oxys at your service!
Interests? I like new technologies, nature, music, video games and believes in a better world.
Pronouns? Neutral ones most of the time but I don't mind if you don't use them. :)
I'm studying at the moment, pretty busy most of the time too.
I probably won't post a lot but hey I'm here to keep in touch with the ideas hailing from here!

#fractal #zoom #video calculated in #KF (515 keyframes forming an #ExponentialMap) in 66mins wall clock time, then assembled and encoded into a 3min video in 12mins wall clock time. Should be a part of the next major KF release come September time or so.

I implemented the video assembler in #CPlusPlus using #OpenGL #GLSL #shaders to colour the raw iteration data, wasn't hard to modify my earlier flat keyframe interpolator to work with exponential map slices. mathr.co.uk/zoom

The colouring is based on directional distance estimate - close to the fractal is black, with rainbow tinges surrounding desaturating to white far from the fractal.

This seems interesting: The Open Book Project - "The Open Book aims to be a simple device that anyone with a soldering iron can build for themselves."

(I'm trying to give this petition some extra visibility here.)

It's to ask the European Union to give consumers more rights by making manufacturers design their phones to be repairable so we can all repair our smartphones ourselves and have an easier access to parts and how to use them.

It will benefit both the Earth and the consumer's pockets so It's a big win if It does pass in Europe!

(It's currently 333 signs away from goal and being sent to congress by the way.)

Since this meme is now a thing I'll take profit of It since It features the wolrd's smallest computer! :)

It simply is incredible we can consentrate this much technology into something so small, It just shows how much we've evolved over time compared to having big devices to now smaller and more compact ones!

The computers when first created where so huge they'd take the space of the rooms while this one is dwarfed by rice, what a progression! :D
