When I really do the math, my purported love of reading, which is a large part of my identity, particularly as other people seem to see me, really boils down to about a dozen life-altering books, usually not even the ones you'd expect, and then a scattered assortment of pretty good paragraphs or sentences or even phrases in the rest.
