System 7 has the most fantastical UX to customize applications.

My favourite IDE, THINK Pascal 4.0, is a nearly perfect jewel, but I was sad that it had a missing "select all" shortcut, and that the "Run" shortcut was using G instead of R.

Here's how it is done.

@neauoire There is still some messed up behavior when it redraws while partially obscured by another window... haven't figure that one out yet.

@neauoire which version of MPW did you get? the one I got seems to be screwed up and is missing the Asm command

Well, this answers our question about how to horizontally flip/mirror something @neauoire @eel

@neauoire @eel OK, after reading several things, Inside Macintosh Volume I (the original Mac programming manual) has the best guide on using classic B&W QuickDraw: weihenstephan.org/~michaste/pa

pretty good but room for improvement... suboptimal pixel line work at the end, was getting nervous because I was on such a good run

Oh, also, the sine wave here looks pixel-imperfect because I'm only sampling once it every 3 columns. As a demo of a cost-saving measure :) The precision is good enough that it would look perfect if you sampled it every column.

I've updated the pre-patched THINK Pascal 4.5 disk image to include some extra goodies, like the fixed-point math interface declarations and linking library (these had previously been lost by whoever packaged 4.5d4): cancel.fm/stuff/share/THINKPas
