@cblgh Discipline and liberty coexist delicately, it is no simple thing. Liberty means open potentals, and with more potentials comes potential for war and the other horsemen, which discipline wants to forever preclude. Liberty seems to want to rend open our fates to the winds even when it knows we will likely die of it.

I don't know how to explain this yet, but I've been getting the impression that formalisations of agency are essentially descriptions of the thin line where they're in balance.
