Finally got an rsync.net account for the whole family. Thounkin' about using some DVD-R disks for append only local backups of small stuff, like private keys. Is that a good idea?
ps.: This is your reminder to make (and test) backups. Don't take years like we did.

@csepp how long would you like the backups to last? optical media is OK for up to 5 years, thereabouts.
@csepp (self-burnt optical media, that is, besides blueray, I think. There are also archive grade cd/dvds, but those are rare I think)
@laggard Longer than that, but I plan to take good care of them, and write new ones every now and then. OCR friendly paper copies might also be nice.
