@eris my only familiarity with K is from your toots so this looks pretty elegant to me!

@joemama haha, K can get a lot more elegant - this is dealing with strings so it's inherently a bit messy

@joemama as far as this code goes, its decently simple conceptually. similar to how you'd write it in an imperative language
