Has anyone ever seen sichuan chilli oil for sale? Lots of recipes, lots of sichuan restaurants use it, but none of the store-bought jars of chili oils I've tried use sichuan peppercorns. It doesn't seem to go off, so this is odd.

@faun the global market near me sells peppercorns and oil. If you can find the peppercorns you can steep them to make your own oil.

@faun look for "sichuan pepper [corn] oil" or "prickly oil", the bottle I have (asianfoodstuff.com/cart1/index but that link is wholesale) is a yellow oil and doesn't mention "chili" at all
