I idiotically just borked my whole new Manjaro install with a stupid decision.

Maybe this is life telling me to take the opportunity to install Arch, which I cbf doing before, now that I think I gotta start over anyway.

@dualhammers Was trying to get jack audio working with Bitwig. Saw someone say they'd had success uninstalling & reinstalling a particular package. I uninstalled and reinstalled said package, not realising it was some type of critical package for Xorg.

I think I messed up some dependencies and now X won't start at all.

Still, I've been hearing a lot of positive feedback about Salient OS for gaming and multimedia, exactly what I need, so it might be a happy accident.

@dualhammers For some reason since I installed this Nvidia card absolutely no live USB will boot unless it already has the proprietary drivers in it. :(

Salient offers a really nice post install script to get Nvidia drivers going, but I can't access it.

I tried nomodeset and related things, but no joy. Oh well.

@dualhammers I fixed it!

I thought, well if I'm going to do something like an Arch install anyway, I might as well go through the install process on the system I'm trying to fix and see which part shows up as not already being there.

Turns out *somehow* removing that package took the entirety of KDE Plasma with it. I really don't know how I managed to do that.

Lesson learned, don't remove packages I know nothing about. Got it.

@freedcreative @dualhammers also pacman -Qi will let you see information about a package such as what depends on it! I always check it before a removal!
