I’m learning that dealing with deploying isometric tiles in 2d is more restrictive than I imagined.
I think I’m going to try flattening out the set I’ve been making in Inkscape and turn them into textures for 3d blocks instead.
@freedcreative 2d isometric tile engines always wig me out- on the old 8 but consoles they always only work by some of thr flimsiest little one off hacks i can barely believe they work at all. i think the only way it’s managable is to have a fully 3d voxel world (minecraft type) and “render” to 2d tiles.
@zens I’ve come to pretty much the same conclusion.
I think a I’ll have another go at isometric 2d later, but with fixed, room size graphics and props, not tiles.
