Hmmm... This is getting a bit hopeless

Why is the top of the head risen like that?
What's with the dusty artifacts around the ears and neck?
How do I smooth out the "pixellation" without a ridiculously high resolution?

Not expecting answers to these, I'm just a little frustrated, spent nearly two days, and the results aren't what I expected...

If i can at least smooth out the pixellation, I could use this for the weird project I'm working on, but I doubt it'd be useful for other purposes

We're marching through the mesh, front to back. In the pure data RGB encodes a normalised vector towards the closest point on the model, and A encodes the distance to the point.
Here A is used to darken the RGB channels, so we can visually "understand" the data
