News of people arrested at anti-mobilisation protests being served their mobilisation papers right there in the police station.
Reached out to my friends in Moscow, the mood is very very anxious...
"Classified article of mobilisation decree allows MOD to mobilise up to 1 million people" (Novaya Gazeta).
Of course, the fuckers would lie about the numbers, and why not? They lied about everything else.
News today that the government is planning to close down borders and prevent men of mobilisation age from leaving Russia.
A childhood friend made the escape today, a 48h journey combining planes and buses to a safe third country.
I’m glad he is out of danger, and I hope his family can join him soon.
Надеюсь, что когда-нибудь в будущем эта песня вновь станет актуальной. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2FCF7HvX2fM
There are now reports of mobilised men being sent to the frontlines right away, without any training whatsoever. Some telegram channels report that Putin is planning to try the old soviet ww2 tactic of drowning the opponent in blood. How is it possible to put so little value on human life? Why do they need more territory if the vast lands they already have are in such poor state? I have so much rage in me right now...
Mobilised reservists in occupied Sevastopol, Crimea.
The look on each of these men's faces is the look of one resigned to death. This is haunting.
The priest, in particular, looks like a grotesque character straight out of a nightmare.

Journaling pro tip: try to be very specific about how you feel. Often I'm tempted to write stuff like "the war makes me angry and sad", and it's good to acknowledge that, but this is merely opening the door to those feelings. Try to expand.
"When I talk to my Ukrainian colleagues I wonder how they're coping with what their loved ones are going through and that makes me so sad, and when I think about the mobilisation I really pizdets nahuy blyat pidarasy sraniye sdohnite uzhe!"
@gosha Understandable, sorry to hear nonetheless. :[ Sometimes we need to just kinda plow through...
@gosha when you live here you just have a strong habit to not to believe in anything that your damn government says
@gosha Lying in wait for now, gathering documents and putting things in order. Will take no action for a week or two. Closed borders are a possibility, but a manageable one. At any rate, I'd rather *criminal things* than let myself be dragged to war.
Beginning to get my together after a week of doomscrolling, on the plus side.
@gosha Heartbreaking. :( I’m so sorry. I hope your friend is reunited with his family, and this war should’ve ended already (or never even started).
@gosha This seems like the kind of thing that is likely to result in a lot of fraggings and mass surrenders.
@gosha I don't know if I'd go so far as to say that the facial expressions are those of men resigned to death, but they're certainly uncomfortable, unhappy, and disappointed
@gosha All jokes aside I live in a city with a strong military presence and a nuclear submarine base 50km away. We had those kind of papers to say to us what to do.
@gosha shit sucks. I don’t have anything substantial to add… just want you to know that I see you in this and I care
