I awaken from my shadow slumber...

Yesterday, the Supreme Court here where I live has determined the absolute ban on Telegram, for all residents of Brazil.

And it includes a fine of R$100.000 ($19,905.45) per day if you use the service.

Just goes to show that our rights are indeed being slowly culled worldwide, and that censoring is here to stay.

I am but a normal citizen caught in the crossfire. I didn't ask for this.

@amorris The worst part is that it gives precedent for censoring apps if they don't comply.

@lains what's the underlying motive of banning telegram? because contents are encrypted?

@cblgh The Supreme Court couldn't ask Telegram to ban certain users that were spreading fake news, so they had to ban the app.
