Parler is now closed indefinitely — after a data breach that exposed 7TB of data.

No idea where all of those users are going to land — word is, there's been a lot of coordination on Telegram, but I doubt that can replace the lost social functions — so this week may see a big influx of new far right accounts. Stay alert.

@lrhodes I doubt that. Mastodon is more difficult to use and will probably scare them off. They'll stick to web versions of GAB and Parler. Anyway I kind of don't mind them coming here. Internet used to be this giant scrapyard of ideas. Now it's becoming centralized around just a few companies. Trump fans and QAnons got hit first but probably won't be last. I can imagine that in few years people who oppose ban on encryption will be banned.
