I just added a page to my website showcasing the languages I know and how much I enjoy using them.

It's probably missing some languages, especially ones that I haven't used in a while.

@joshavanier Right now I'm just self-assigning values.

It would be cool to have some sort of actual data backing it...

I can't really think of a good way to do it though. LOC isn't really a good metric, as some languages are more terse than others.

@maxdeviant I guess you can try counting the number of projects a language is used in as an estimate. Or even just the amount of time you've been using it (in months or years)

@maxdeviant elm makes outputting even basic html so much more needlessly complex -- it practically nixes all its upsides

@dym I think that saying it nixes all of the upsides is a bit of a stretch. I do find it more painful than JSX when writing view code, but having everything be completely type safe is a huge win.
