I'm trying to consolidate all the recurring questions in a sort of FAQ on XXIIVV.

If you have simple generic questions you've always wanted to ask me, and that you think others might also be interested to know, now's a good time :)

I've found myself no longer able to put up with "senior" developers who are terrible at writing code. A large portion of my life thus far has been dedicated to improving at writing code and building software and it feels like each line these certain developers write is undermining everything that I've worked towards.

I've finally become one of the people I swore I'd never be: someone who lives for the weekend.

Work has been particularly stressful lately and I spend my time at work wishing I was anywhere else.

One of the things that truly scare me is growing old and realizing that I wasted my time pursuing the wrong things, fragmenting my time between frivolous hobbies. The only thing that keeps me going forward is that the alternative, freezing and not doing anything until I know for sure, is tremendously boring.

I might be on the wrong path, I might never reach "master" status in any of the things I do, but at least I'm having a blast over here. And to me that's a nice trade off 🤷🏻‍♂️

Write programs that do one thing and do it well. Write programs to work together. Write programs to handle text streams, because that is a universal interface.

It advises against monolithic all encompassing programs, and instead recommend one to learn to combine programs into one another.

It's something I haven't been practicing but mean to.
