update: boiling for 60 seconds keeps them tight. no surprise! much better.

@dualhammers most of the things I read suggested boiling them or using a heat gun lol. So this sun method seems less aggressive 😅 I'm sure it's not good for the cables but it's (hopefully) a one time thing 🤞

I think this is pretty standard. Most cables have a few layers of shielding between the wire and the outer thermal plastic.

@metasyn I have an ergodox EZ but lost the TRRS cable the connects the two sides. I ended up getting one from monoprice, but it's a bit flimsy and doesn't have the 90o connectors
