I spent parts of January working on a new kind of search engine. Instead of indexing the unfathomable internet, it focuses on enabling search for neighbourhoods of related websites—webrings, or other kinds of topically similar sites.
i notice a lot of interest in toki pona. as a linguist, i've studied some conlangs and have always had an interest in the general sense. toki pona, however, hasn't stood out to me like it does to some people. does anyone have any longer form writing they'd recommend on "why toki pona" or something similar? i'd love to know more motivations for why ppl are into it and want to use it #tokipona

finally finished neuromancer! kind of glad to have finished it, it got a bit numbing about half way through for me. part of reading it felt like just becoming more literate in sci-fi. but another part of me is amazed at how much the work influenced - its hard to unsee now. i feel relieved oddly now that its over though haha #theLibrary
got a new recording interface this week that can do *eight* simultaneous inputs. which is pretty fun to just turn record on and just see what you capture. outside of a little level adjustment, this is basically a live recording. also i made a little llama icon using dotgrid ^__^
