@milofultz Idk, this seems a lot like someone saying "There are going to be more domestic terrorist attacks from Trump supporters". Which is definitely accurate, but I would have bet all of my money on that happening at *some point* in the future anyways, even if they hadn't stormed the capital. I'm not sure that you can expect a governmental breakdown in one country to be predictive of how one will play out in a (different, not better, just different) country.
@jcmorrow I hear you on that. I think what struck me about this is how I am having trouble really grasping it you know. this being a really stupid and unorganized riot/attack/whatever is only because of sheer dumb luck and if a couple things changed could have been much more dire. But *because* it seems stupid on it’s face makes it difficult for me to look at it as a failed attack and instead easy to see it as “a stupid coup”. Don’t know if that makes sense
@milofultz That totally makes sense. I have had a general sense of "waiting for the other shoe to drop" since Wednesday. There are a lot of ex-military, well-armed, well-organized people wrapped up in the far-right's rhetoric of rebellion and civil war. When we hear from those people, it will be much, much scarier I fear.
