Alternatively I'll be getting a local job at Transition Technologies (AR/VR/MR/Unity solutions). They are looking for local specialists and want to expand by 150 people by the end of the year so there is an opportunity to do some meaningful experimental work.
The thing is Iceland seems far more in tune with my gut feeling. Exploration of the yet undiscovered physical world with some audiovisual/interactive experiments in the wild - that sounds like just the thing I'd love to do.
Thinking of moving to Iceland for a while. Researched some gamedev/software/creative jobs (apart from CCP of course), I know there are a couple of Icelanders in our midst - is that viable? http://igi.is/2/
I'm not sure how secure is it to have a card number that you don't even know, because it's generated and then hidden away in your iPhone. The Apple Card looks like a first step towards that sci-fi kind of society like in Dreamfall, DeusEx, or Mass Effect, where all you simply have's this centralised notion of 'the credit' to your name, that's tied to your phone/social number, and any texts/phone calls you make that the manufacturer/carrier doesn't like'll get your card revoked at once.
Helve AVR Operative Guidelines:
Directive protocols act as a basis for behavioural priorities and are a direct reflection of the values that Helve creatives try to uplift for the sake of personal development and growth.
Every Helve agent/operative in the field initiates and fulfills the protocols as needed or required after a self-assessment session.
Mapping and Visualization by Scott Reinhard
I want to create a basis for something I'd like to call Openworld Visual Hacking Festival (Vishack).
Notes from the repo linked below:
"Using open spaces across cities, countries and continents to create a surreal reality for just one night. Group projects documented and collabed into a once-a-year book and vidoc showcasing the alternative, artistic approach to public property and approach to life. Alter your world, alter your thoughts."

Dreamed that if you want to wear black in china, you have to email your town's fashion planner and justify it. You have to have wholesome non-nihilist reasons.
Presumably a reflection of the real world fact that you can't unlock a xiaomi phone without sending them an application (wearing black is the fashion equivalent of rooting your phone) (Xiaomi says that this is to prevent third party sellers from installing malware on xiaomis)

I don't know how to express how much I love this article. I'm glad someone is documenting the history of the internet from more than just the perspective of those who did or didn't make a billion dollars.
If analog clocks get phased out then how will future generations know clockwise from counter clockwise #ShowerThoughts
The four eras of digital computing:
① Mainframe (centralised)
② Personal Computing (PC 1.0; decentralised)
③ Web/Cloud (Mainframe 2.0; centralised)
④ Peer Computing (PC 2.0; decentralised)
The PC 2.0 era is what some of us are working to usher in.
