"symbolic rather than lexical" is the quote regarding APL, and hieroglyphs are symbolic, so yeah.

Hieroglyphs are pictures that are symbolic, and the symbols that express APL are not pictures, so a little not.

I had to look up Orca, with a wrong turn ("orca language" as a search gets you a lot of killer whale stuff). Never heard of it! It seems that the documentation is also esoteric. I read and watched videos (I like cellular automata), and its programs look glyph-like, so yeah.
