Relayed this to a friend who said Rochdale was like that when he worked there and how glad he was he'd escaped to Belgium, but my response to that was that might have bought him a few years 'normality' at best. The future comes at you fast.
It also reminded me of a job interview I went to 5+ years ago in some Thames estuary town outside London (name escapes me). As soon as I got off the train I knew I wouldn't even make the interview the next day. It was an incredibly depressing place, still had some hustle and bustle but also had a severe heroin problem. My worry is that decay will spread with the coming inflation, I've been preoccupied with the housing crash when the boomers realise nobody can afford to buy their nest eggs.
Revel in the marvels of the universe. We are a collective of forward-thinking individuals who strive to better ourselves and our surroundings through constant creation. We express ourselves through music, art, games, and writing. We also put great value in play. A warm welcome to any like-minded people who feel these ideals resonate with them.
