Today, I described someone's reaction online as 'emotional', meaning that in a positive way ('from-the-heart', genuine, engaged).

Later I realized that this person may be a woman, and women commonly get called 'emotional' in a negative way (unreliable, irrational). So, this might have been painful, even if not intended.

The "sender - receiver" challenge of communication... Good to be wary, but sometimes it is almost impossible to avoid all sources of misunderstanding. Good reminder to always assume best intentions befote you find evidence of the opposite 😉
