My laptop doesn't suspend reliably anymore...

Year of Linux on the Desktop, when?

(to be fair, I run 'very recent' versions of things (nixos-unstable) precisely *because* I want to run into such things, and help diagnosing/fixing)

Did a firmware upgrade (fwupdmgr get-updates; fwupdmgr update) first, let's see if that helps. Always slightly terrifying to mess with such low-level things... especially now that I've grown accustomed to the safety of NixOS for the rest of the system.

(TFW you stare at a blank screen while the laptop turns its fans on and off... seems the fw upgrade went fine though :D )

Just noticed it's likely less mysterious than I feared: USB activity (moving the mouse or pressing buttons on the keyboard) will wake the laptop up.

I wonder if that was always the case and the impact was lighter before (it went back to sleep faster), or that this wasn't the case before.

@raboof Thank you for your service tbh.

I use LTS to get a stable experiene.

@raboof If you judge a fish by it's ability to climb a tree it will live its whole life believing it is stupid.

@mrus and if you assume, you make an ass out of u and me :)
