But the faux-personal follow-ups? "Oh I forgot to add this additional material", "Hey I didn't hear back from you"? Uuugh.

@raboof yeah terrible. Those imply a kind of relationship that doesn’t exist. Marketing is most obnoxious when it is attempting to be something it’s not.

@raboof Right? Unsolicited queries in my field, business-to-business, sure... but don't pretend like we already have a relationship and pester me like I've let you down by not responding. And dang, but don't -start- with an email pretending you sent me something earlier and you're just following up. :eyeroll:
