Also, this is such an interesting approach to editorial / print design: osp.kitchen/tools/html2print/
I'd love to design my zines and books in html/css instead of inDesign, might give this a shot

@ritualdust You might be interested in Pollen https://docs.racket-lang.org/pollen/

It's really designed more for long-form text-heavy books than for zines, but it seems like the kind of thing that could produce what you want, without the tedium of modifying CSS properties as you go (though it's not quite as smooth as a live-coding CSS/HTML environment would be, though I don't know of any good examples of those.)

@reed I'll look it up but personally I actually like playing around in CSS :P

@ritualdust I like playing around with CSS at first :) but when I actually want to be creating something in good time I can get frustrated by the documentation (or lack thereof)

Revel in the marvels of the universe. We are a collective of forward-thinking individuals who strive to better ourselves and our surroundings through constant creation. We express ourselves through music, art, games, and writing. We also put great value in play. A warm welcome to any like-minded people who feel these ideals resonate with them.
