Was thinking these days about how we are in some sort of dark ages now. In medieval times valuable information was physically unavailable. Now it becomes physically unreachable, closed behind rising algorithmic barriers, which acts on one's attention, cognitive biases, and informational overload.

@sunshine_recorder Geolocation blocking is also making information unreachable. But it's a good insight that algorhitmic predictions assume way too often that we're not interested in anything new, anything that we haven't seen before.

Come to think of it, most 'discovery' features on services are useless, because they are not really raw enough to cultivate in us new tastes...
