Hi, I'm Vlad, a programmer living in Switzerland, currently working on an unreleased systems programming language. My plans for 2022 are to study philosophy and meet like-minded people, so I'm glad to be a part of Merveilles! :)

I set up this thermal printer a while ago on a programming stream, and I thought I would bring it back to life to print small notes. It feels very cute and fun to use.

I'm working on the standard library of the language we're developing. Here's datetime::arithmetic, a lot of fun to work on :)

I bought some merveilles 😛 In Switzerland, we have these crunchy sweet crepes-type things usually eaten around carnival, called "merveilles".

An absolutely amazing article about how GPS works. It's a great achievement to visually explain things so well on the web. (most likely needs a modern browser) ciechanow.ski/gps/

@ritualdust I love the dithering on your website, it looks super cool! I wanted to ask: what algorithm/tool are you using? I haven't managed to get dithering that looks as good.

Prof. Stephen Hawking, the last comment on reddit:

“If machines produce everything we need, the outcome will depend on how things are distributed. Everyone can enjoy a life of luxurious leisure if the machine-produced wealth is shared, or most people can end up miserably poor if the machine-owners successfully lobby against wealth redistribution. So far, the trend seems to be toward the second option, with technology driving ever-increasing inequality.”

Happy 80th birthday Prof. Hawking

I'm grateful to have been able to see some snow this year. I feel like it used to snow a lot more ~10 years ago.

Revel in the marvels of the universe. We are a collective of forward-thinking individuals who strive to better ourselves and our surroundings through constant creation. We express ourselves through music, art, games, and writing. We also put great value in play. A warm welcome to any like-minded people who feel these ideals resonate with them.
