The biggest challenge in my life is getting enough sleep. I'm an abysmal sleeper, everything wakes me up, i take forever to fall asleep, i have a 5 year old child that wakes up between 5 and 6. This means I'm very tired most of the time and I feel like I'm operating at 20 IQ points below optimum, have trouble with focus and motivation.

I have been trying to switch to sleeping 21:00 to 05:00, the theory being I'd get a lot less interruptions from the child, but after a week of this I just realise that this means giving up almost all of my 'me' time. Maybe complaining about it here will help?

@voxel Sleep is a trigger topic for me. I have a seven year old who woke and screamed every hour for the first three years of his life. Sleep deprevation is torture and I'm not even kidding. It was the toughest time of my life. I still haven't regained my unphased sleep skills and I'm not sure when or if I ever will.
Complaining doesn't change the fact, but it sure helps to get it off your chest once in a while.

@voxel for 15+ years I had untreated sleep apnea. I'm sure it's damaged my brain in many ways
