I've turned off webfonts for a week and my mental state while browsing has improved to some significant degree. Pages load faster (no FOIT), but I think it's also saving me from some kind of micro-subconscious mode switch when reading. Is this just me?

In Firefox, go to Settings / General / Language and Appearance / Fonts and Colors / Advanced...

Pick your most attractive and legible defaults (I like Liberation {Sans,Serif,Mono}) and uncheck "Allow pages to choose their own fonts."

@winduptoy I've had them disabled for years, it has dramatically improved my browsing experience.

@neauoire Maybe somebody will patch Mastodon to not use iconfonts one day. :sadlinux:
